Play-reading Shakespeare 1 (Mondays)

Play Reading Shakespeare I – demise.
Replacement – 20th Century Play Reading Group. Mondays, 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Venue: 3 Raymond Road, Katoomba

The 2nd July 2018 will bring the curtain down on the Blackheath Monday Shakespeare Group. Begun six years ago by Judith Finny and Elizabeth Beckett, it has run its course, shown by its drop in participants. However, all is not over, and it will be replaced by the 20th CENTURY PLAY READING GROUP. Two plays will be read per term with a two week break between them. On the 23rd July 2018 we will begin reading Shaw’s ‘Pygmalion’, followed by Wilde’s ‘Importance of Being Earnest’ and Ray Lawler’s “Summer of the Seventeenth Doll”.

Copies of the plays are readily available from second-hand bookshops and for down-loading to Kindle.

Anyone wishing to join this group should contact Michael Butler 0411 219 473 or email mjbutler54@gmail.com
